*Published, placebo-controlled studies of Korean red ginseng preparations, not of Dr. Choi Korean Red Ginseng itself. Every stick delivers the same ingredient: 3,000 mg of six-year Korean red ginseng extract. Individual results vary. These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. The root we choose
Different ginseng species have different botanical identities. Our choice is six-year Korean Panax ginseng from Geumsan — the starting point for Dr. Choi Korean Red Ginseng.
Botanical species and processing both matter. These are three distinct ginseng species; our formula begins with Korean Panax ginseng and the red-ginseng steaming tradition.
The process
Steaming and drying turn fresh ginseng into red ginseng and transform its compound profile. Korean red ginseng naturally contains 40+ ginsenosides; our finished product quantifies 22 of them.
Through steaming, ginsenosides such as Rh1, Rg2, and Rg3 are discussed in relation to processing and the red-ginseng profile.
Rg3 is part of the red-ginseng processing story. Our Geumsan manufacturer, Pharmacofood, owns patent KR10-1434444 for an Rg3-enhancing extraction process — a distinctive step in how our concentrate is made.
Full spectrum
A botanical is more than one marker compound. Ginseng contains ginsenosides alongside non-saponin constituents. Understanding those families adds context to the measured ginsenoside profile on a product.
Ginsenosides are ginseng’s signature saponins. Korean red ginseng naturally contains 40+; this finished product quantifies 22, including Rb1, Rg1 and Rg3.
The number you seeHeld mostly in the body of the root: acidic polysaccharides, polyacetylenes, phenolic compounds. Their value rises notably through the red-ginseng process, and they are frequently discussed in immune-related research.
The value you don'tA useful product profile names what is measured and explains what the number represents. That is the clarity we bring to every stick.

How we prove it
Ginsenoside content varies from lot to lot, so we declare conservative label minimums — 80mg+ of total ginsenosides from a 22-analyte test panel, including 30mg+ of the key markers Rg1, Rb1, and Rg3 — as part of our batch testing program. To see the Certificate of Analysis linked to your batch, look up your box's lot here.

Common questions
Ginsenosides are the signature saponins, or active plant compounds, in Korean ginseng. They are the family most labels count when they list a milligram figure. Korean red ginseng is documented as carrying one of the widest ranges of ginsenoside types, including markers like Rb1, Rg1, and Rg3.
Both come from Panax ginseng. White ginseng is dried; red ginseng is steamed and dried. Processing transforms the compound profile. Korean red ginseng naturally contains 40+ ginsenosides; our finished product quantifies 22.
Korean red ginseng naturally contains 40+ ginsenosides. Our finished product quantifies 22, totaling 80mg+ per 30ml stick, including 30mg+ of key Rg1 + Rb1 + Rg3. The botanical count and the product measurement are different.
80mg+ describes the total across 22 quantified ginsenosides. It includes 30mg+ of Rg1 + Rb1 + Rg3. Contact our team for batch documentation; the botanical’s 40+ naturally occurring ginsenosides are a separate measure.
Rg3 is a rare ginsenoside created during the steaming of red ginseng; it is present only in trace amounts in raw or white ginseng. Because it is hard to produce at high concentration, our Geumsan manufacturer uses a patented process (Korea Patent KR 10-1434444) built to enhance Rg3 content.
No. Ginsenosides are one of two compound families in the root. The other, the non-saponins, includes acidic polysaccharides, polyacetylenes, and phenolic compounds, frequently discussed in immune-related research. A true full-spectrum extract preserves both, which is why a single ginsenoside number never tells the whole story.
We choose six-year Korean red ginseng roots from Geumsan, a region closely connected with Korea’s ginseng tradition. Root identity, the extraction process and the finished-product profile are all part of our approach.
Yes. Panax ginseng is one of the classic adaptogens, a group of botanicals traditionally associated with helping the body adapt to everyday physical and mental stress. Alongside herbs like ashwagandha and rhodiola, red ginseng is among the most studied adaptogens, with a long history of use for daily vitality and resilience.
Both are adaptogens, but from different traditions. Ashwagandha comes from Ayurveda and is often discussed in relation to calm and sleep; Korean red ginseng comes from East Asian tradition and is more associated with daily energy and vitality. Some people take a ginseng-based adaptogen as a daytime alternative or complement to ashwagandha.
No. Korean red ginseng contains zero caffeine. As an adaptogen, it is often chosen by people who want something caffeine-free as part of a steady daily routine.
As an adaptogen, Panax ginseng is studied in relation to the body's stress response. Research in this area is ongoing, and we describe it in structure-function terms rather than as a treatment. Red ginseng is traditionally used to support everyday resilience and balance, not to diagnose or treat any condition.
